We left Vuda Marina at 0900 after checking out with customs and immigration at eight followed by the usual farewell singing which was lovely. As we were motoring south I realized that the house alternator was not putting in any charge. We called Dagma and Matt (S/V Matylda) and they suggested going over to Musket so that Matt could see what the problem is... It was a loose wire but he also detected a diesel leak which we fixed and we finally left around 11:30.

Our genoa furler had a problem. The luff got separated from the furler. Peter fixed it in less than an hour! We wanted to eat at the Yacht Club but it was closed! Saw Neil Taylor briefly.
Marina is quite expensive for 1 night. The 18 meter berth with no power was 113.5 $NZ. Cheaper on days 2 +

The WPM mooring is the white one close to shore. I ended up picking a Punga Resort mooring further out. There was a problem with the dinghy taking water just before picking up the mooring! The wind bends around and howls in the bay!

We finally departed Nelson after having to carry 200 liters of diesel to the boat in cans! There are two fuel outlets in Nelson harbor and both require special cards for purchase! After visiting both we went back to our berth, got our jerry-cans and brought diesel to the boat! Only in New Zealand!
