NOTES

Ducked into Prideaux Haven first. It’s large, protected and beautiful —and connects to Melanie Cove but decided to anchor at Melanie Cove since no other boats were there. We did not stern tie but we DID use our new kayaks and took 2-hour paddles for the 2 days we were anchored there. It has several little coves to paddle through. The waterway to Prideaux Haven is very shallow and rocky at low tide. On our 2nd day we returned to Joyride at low tide and had to walk our kayaks across the rocks. Thank goodness for XtraTuff dock boots! We met some new friends from Comox BC while paddling. I made delicious beef stew and prepped our first try at making red wine Sangria for our anchor-down celebration at Refuge Cove on 4/21/26.
