Perfect cruising conditions from Monterey, CA to San Francisco. A welcome change after a “too sporty” ride to Monterey. Cruising under the Golden Gate Bridge was exciting—with our own Nordhavn. It was a “pinch-me” moment for sure. The wind increased in the bay but as we entered the Richmond Yacht Club neighborhood, conditions were calm as we navigated through homes and personal docks—in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. Our stay with Brian Lewis (Marlene) was simply fantastic. They were so very kind to include us in beer-can sailing races, a neighborhood pot-luck, family birthday parties, an outing to hear Brian’s sister Lori sing bluegrass music, and dinners. The highlight of our trip was being reunited with Jeff and Tracy (Great Adventure) who we met in the Sea of Cortez. We stayed at their Mirin, CA home for 5 nights, drank too much incredible wine and visited local pubs including Jeff’s home “pub.” They invited us to visit their Cabo home this winter when we get cold in the PNW. We’ll take them up on that, we know. Our exit from Brian’s dock was stress-free and weather and sea state all day was just spectacular. We are having the BEST time on all of our stops up the CA coast. Next, Bodega Bay to see friends Jeff and Christina who we met in Paradise Village. Then, we continue North.
