Day trip to Redfish Island cut short due to anchor chain problems.
Looks like the storm we hit coming home from Mexico totally tangled up the chain on top of itself. Could not get it un-knotted

Almost home!

Massive wind storm, 59knot/68mph wind gust recorded....steady 50+ knot winds with accompanying waves of 15 ft.

Been cruising close to 10knots average but about to leave the Gulf stream and head more westerly towards home

Going with a 2.5 knot gulf stream current. Boat is doing almost 11 knots. I've never seen her go so fast!!

Changed itinerary, heading straight for home now. Another 4 day crossing ahead of us

More research should have been done....appears we do not have the correct nature park permit for the highly restricted areas around Cozumel

A nice cruise for a change, destination is Puerto Aventuras where we'll hang out for a month

About as close to land as I care to get in the dark....making the eastward turn into the teeth of the wind and waves

33 knot winds into our bow.... are you kidding me? Sheesh

V birth port window porthole blew out from the massive waves hitting us there. Used a extendable cleaning brush, lots of towels and duct tape to close it up and changed course to more due south/south east to keep some of the waves from crashing into us in this area

Changed course again, more to the east but still trying to get to coast of Mexico ASAP to get some relief from these waves.... issue is though that more easterly course puts us more on a direct heading straight into the waves.
We'll see if we can hang

Crazy winds have popped up making the wave action nuts. 23 knot steady with higher gusts. Waves at least 5 foot.

Changing course to dive down to the Mexican coast line in hopes of some protection.

Increased RPM's to 1800. Trying to maintain above 7knot speed due to Thursdays weather outlook
