This was a messy day. Initial plan was to go from Port McNeill to Allison Harbour, but a strong wind warning for Queen Charlotte Sound came up. After passing the point and kelp area north of Malcom Island and experiencing large waves nearing 4', I decided to abort the crossing since it would be 4+ hours of this with it increasing. I headed south around the other end of Malcom and tried to cross there but experienced 8 foot waves and 10 degrees of roll even with the stabilizers. Aborted into Goat Island!
